Job Trials
Corbrook’s Job Trials are developed by the Job Developer/Job Coach to match as closely as possible the job goal of the client.
The job trial is used to determine real employability and to provide the opportunity for on-the-job experience related to the
individuals job goal.
The Job Coach evaluates the clients ability to perform job requirements, achieve work tolerance and to reach employer productivity
expectations. The employer and the Job Coach identify the duties of the job and any accommodations that may be required. The job
coach monitors the client’s work performance, work tolerance and productivity.
He/she ensures that:
-
Work meets employer’s expectations
-
The job is suitable for the client
-
Strategies and training techniques are put in place to build work skills
-
Work tolerance strategies are developed
-
Productivity issues are identified and addressed
The frequency of support will depend upon the needs and functional level of the client to ensure that the expectations of the
employer are being met. A comprehensive report is provided detailing the observations made during the job trial.
