Corbrook's Job Trials are developed by the Employment Consultant/Job Coach to match, as closely as possible, the job goal(s) of the client. The job trial is used to determine a client's employability and to provide the opportunity for on-the-job experience related to the individual's job goal(s).

The Job Coach evaluates the client's ability to perform job requirements, achieve work tolerance, and reach employer productivity expectations. The employer and the Job Coach identify the duties of the job and any accommodations that may be required. The Job Coach monitors the client's work performance, work tolerance and productivity.

Job Coaches ensure that:

  • Work meets employer's expectations
  • The job is suitable for the client
  • Strategies and training techniques are put in place to build wrok skills
  • Work tolerance strategies are developed
  • Productivity issues are identified and addressed

The frequency of support will depend on the needs and functional level of the client, to ensure that the expectations of the employer are being met. A comprehensive report is provided detailing the observations made during the job trial.
